Youth Ministry: Grades 6-12

Enrollment/Consent Form

Once each year, we need parents to complete a fresh Enrollment/Consent Form for each of their participating children/youth. Kids’ safety is of paramount importance, and updated information regarding medications, allergies, insurance, and emergency contacts is crucial. Thank you, parents, for your cooperation with this!

Sunday Mornings: The Huddle

The Sunday morning youth experience begins at 9:30 in the Youth Room with games and discussion. It all adds up to a high-energy, fun, engaging hour facilitated by Rev. Rob Fredrickson and a team of terrific adult volunteers.

Confirmation Class

Nine 90-minute class sessions + community service projects + church involvement activities = confirmation at OCC. We learn a lot, but there's plenty of fun, too! It all culminates with each student writing a unique, seven-sentence personal credo statement, and having the opportunity to "own the covenant" and join OCC as a full-fledged member. The next Confirmation Class will launches in September 2024. Contact Rob Fredrickson with any questions.

Chill-n-Chat

Two Wednesdays, 3:15-4:15pm, Rev. Rob Fredrickson hangs out in Cedarburg, ready to “chill,” “chat,” and offer a little trivia.

Community Service & Missions

Middle and high school students are truly leaders within OCC’s overall approach to service and outreach. They spearhead our sponsorship of a child through Compassion International, clean and sort donated books at the Next Door in Milwaukee, lend a hand at the Hope House food pantry, volunteer at Family Sharing in Grafton, go on mission trips to Pennsylvania and Mexico, and much more.

Wisconsin Congregational Association (WCA) Youth Events

Many young people have described WCA Camp in mid-July as “the greatest week of the whole year!” It takes place at Mt. Morris Camp in central Wisconsin, and is staffed by clergy and lay volunteers from WCA churches, including OCC. Typically, the WCA also offers one or two multi-church youth events (retreats or other gatherings) during the school year.
